Sigma 4s 7 Steps to a Successful Web Site
1. Initial Meeting - A new project begins with a 1-2 hour meeting to establish points of contact, goals and objectives, domain name requirements and project time lines.
2. Information Gathering and Production - Everything that can possibly go into the web site is collected. Anything the client can provide in the form of photos, graphics, history, media kits and brochures is reviewed for use on the site. The more material provided, the faster the site can be brought to life, saving the client money. Additional information, photos or graphics are created as needed by working with the client.
3. Sample Designs Created - Using the information gathered in the prior steps, two or three sample designs are created for online review and approval by the client. Particular emphasis is made on a central theme that conveys the business image desired, easy of use and loading speed. Adjustments to the selected design are made based on client feedback.
4. Site Production - Using the design selected in Step 3 and the information gathered in Step 2 the web pages are produced and populated.
5. Site Testing and Approval - The produced and populated site is made available online for testing and review by Sigma 4 and the client. Testing is conducted using various browsers to confirm a consistent look and functionality. Adjustments are made to the site as needed to obtain customer approval.
6. Site Upload and Activation - The finished site is uploaded to the server of choice and made accessible to the rest of the world. Email accounts and other site features are activated as required.
7. Site Promotion - The operational site is registered with the major search engines. Finally, Sigma 4 will also work with the client as needed to integrate the site into their existing sales & marketing plan to attract users to the site.
Sigma 4s standard design rates are $65 per hour + applicable tax.
Sites requiring highly customized features or expedited design may be charged at a higher rate.
An basic 6-12 page site can usually be developed for under $500.
An estimated site cost will be provided at the completion of Step 1. At that time a 50% non refundable deposit will be required for work to begin on the site, with the remainder due at the satisfactory completion of the site.
